PPR Project Launched with Kick-off Meeting in Zagreb

The Erasmus+ Sport project “The Power of Public Relations in Sport (PPR)” officially started with a kick-off meeting held in Zagreb, Croatia, on 11th December 2023. The meeting brought together representatives of all partner organisations and marked the beginning of cross-border cooperation aimed at strengthening public relations capacities in sport.

Partners from Croatia, Serbia, Türkiye, Denmark, and Belgium met to align their understanding of the project’s objectives, activities, timeline, and expected results. The kick-off meeting provided an opportunity to establish a shared vision and set the foundations for effective collaboration throughout the project lifetime.

Key topics discussed

During the meeting, partners:

  • presented their organisations and roles within the project,
  • reviewed the project objectives, work packages, and implementation schedule,
  • agreed on management, communication, and decision-making procedures,
  • discussed quality assurance, evaluation, and risk management approaches, and
  • outlined the first steps for the situation analysis and research activities.

Special attention was given to the Project Management Plan, internal cooperation rules, and dissemination strategy to ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance with Erasmus+ requirements from the very beginning.

A strong start for European cooperation

The kick-off meeting in Zagreb laid a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the PPR project. It enabled partners to exchange initial ideas, identify common challenges in sports communication, and confirm their shared commitment to improving public relations practices in sport through education, training, and practical application.

With clear structures and strong collaboration established, the PPR project officially moved into the implementation phase, starting with research and analysis that would guide all subsequent activities.
